  14.     Please help !
  15.     I have an external ZyXel U-1496E faxmodem (ROM 6.15) connected
  16.     to my pentium system. It works fine for modem connection and
  17.     sending a fax with HyperTerm and Microsoft Fax under Windows95.

  19.     Unfortunately, I do have a problem with receiving a fax.
  20.     It tries to establish a connection to the incoming fax for about
  21.     30 seconds, then hung up and back to idle state. (use factory
  22.     default settings - did not change any parameter settings)
  23.  
  24.     Is it a matter of parameter setting or something else ?
  25.     I cannot figure out what went wrong.
  26.     Anybody experiencing the same problem and knows how to fix it ?
  27.     Any ideas ?

  33.     p.s. Windows95 seems to be fine, because it has no problem with
  34.          other modems.
